Metal-Smithing in a Morning- with Francesca Morales Cook, owner of Out of My Hands Studio

Simplicity Spoken with Metal.JPG

Create your own unique pendant in this introductory metal class.  Students will use equipment such as a mini-torch, disc cutter and dapping block while learning several basic metalwork techniques.  No previous jewelry experience is required. Class size is limited so that Francesca can give every student one-on-one guidance.  Each crafted adornment will be as unique as each participant. All tools are provided. Bring a sack lunch, safety glasses and reading glasses (if needed).

Paint Pouring Class with Pam Fortner

During this 4-session class, we will cover many aspects of the poured acrylic painting technique.  We will discuss paint recipes, pouring mediums and additives.  We will also learn about different methods of pouring paint and explore the results of each method.  Students will have the opportunity to try each technique and will develop their own individual style. This is a fun, messy class, so students should be prepared to get their hands dirty! All materials will be supplied for the first class.
