Introduction to Woodblock Printing

Learn how to create an original print using the oldest and most traditional printmaking method – carving a woodblock. Theresa will demonstrate how to properly carve, ink and print a block by hand or using a printing press. This is the perfect introduction to the basics of printmaking.

This open studio session is an opportunity to paint with a group of active artists meeting once a week. Drop in on any combination of days that fit with your schedule. The camaraderie between fellow artists can provide an exciting jolt to one’s artwork. In addition, there will be one visiting teacher on the final day of each six-week session.

Canvas Stretcher Assembly

In this workshop, each student will assemble a 24” x 30” canvas stretcher and learn various methods of properly stretching and preparing it for painting. Concepts and Critique in Painting

Refund policy: Foothills Art Center reserves the right to cancel a class and will refund students their full balance. Students who cancel a paid enrollment will receive a full refund if they do so prior to ten days of the first day of class. Cancellation in less than ten days will result in a $25 cancellation fee.
