Local artists collective, GLDN, will screen the 1920’s silent film, “Man With a Movie Camera” by Deziga Vertov. A live house band will play an original score to accompany the entirety of the film while a few lucky audience members will be selected to contribute sound effects. You’ve never seen a silent film like this before.

In this class, we will be focusing on painting the flowers from the gardens around Foothills Art Center.
Students will use a coil-building method to create a mug, then use black slip to decorate the pot using geometric patterns in the style of the Ancestral Puebloans.

Join us as we travel to Taos, New Mexico, on a chartered luxury bus for an art filled weekend. Our stay in Taos will be at the Hotel El Monte Sagrado, a four star spa resort located only one mile from Taos Plaza. During our visit we will explore three art museums/historic sites, which will enhance our knowledge and appreciation for the Taos art scene of the past and present. This workshop is designed to encourage artists to work intuitively with two unique processes – gelatin printing and encaustic painting. On day one we will be printmaking with “gelli” plates using a variety of papers; no press needed, fast and fun!
