Students will become a scientist and explore parts of Golden to study habitats and ecosystems of animals.  We will then create our own imaginary animals and “study” all the aspects of this newly discovered creature. Based on the nature of the animal we will discuss it’s diet, habitat, behavior and adaptations for survival.  Drawing will be the focus as we document our findings in a scientist’s field journal.  Students will then be using clay to create a scientific model of their animal during their study.
